SADC Essay Writing Contest for Secondary Schools, 2021. The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Secretariat, as a standard practice, has organized the SADC Student Essay Writing Contest for the year 2021. The Essay Writing Contest is intended to expand high school awareness by participating in SADC activities and is open for Form 1 up to 6 students. Students are required to begin researching the subject before writing and submitting their work to their school principals.
2. The theme for the year 2021 deliberated by the 40th Summit of Heads of State and Government is “How has SADC contributed to peace and security in the region in the last 40 years and how can SADC consolidate peace? in the future?”

3. The set of questions below is intended to guide students in answering the question above. Therefore, when answering the question above, the student must answer all the questions listed below:

4. The principal of schools is supposed to ensure that students adhere to the following guidelines:

Box 10, 40479 Dodoma no later than March 30, 2021. National adjudication will take place from April 5 to 16, 2021 for three entries to be sent to the SADC Secretariat in Botswana by April 30 of 2021.
