JOB TITLE: Key Account Manager
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Airtel Tanzania PLC is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Key Account Manager. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for Acquiring Quality Business Customers to contribute to the Organization’s acquisition goals for Gross Additions – Voice (Postpaid / Manual Top) / Data – Fixed & Mobile. Competitor acquisitions and new market participants.
1. Grow revenues, promote the acquisition of new businesses in the government sector;
Increase revenue from public / government accounts by 30% year over year through farming and hunting
Maintain the contribution of revenue from government accounts to the entire business enterprise at 40%
2. Capture competing companies / new market entrants;
Establish a list of evolving goals from organizations that are not on the Airtel Tanzania books: new entrants or competitors
Plan effective calling and plans
Understand the needs of potential clients.
Create and deliver sales presentations so that the company’s products / services match identified needs.
Provide solutions to products / services through face-to-face contact
Drafting and monitoring of Bids and proposals.
Knowledgeable about Airtel Tanzania products / services to facilitate sales efforts
Maintains sales records and prepares sales reports.
3.Increase the participation of the wallet;
Maximize the number of products and services sold to existing ones by introducing solutions
Alerts customer about new or improved products / services
Contact and visit existing clients to determine their needs
Work with the contact person and proactively keep account debts to a minimum.
5. Minimize account-level turnover;
Suggest products and / or services to develop with the marketing department.
Determine ways to differentiate yourself from the competition
Work with management to identify sales opportunities
Maintain a regular contact schedule
Cement’s relationship with customers
Assist marketing with design and promotional strategies.
6. Management of key accounts;
Develop, implement and monitor account development plans to maximize new and repeat account sales.
Develop solid business relationships with corporate client organizations, representing the company as a professional and quality organization, in order to maximize the knowledge and use of our service.
Make sure all customer information is accurately and timely entered into the selected Airtel customer database
7. customer retention;
To achieve agreed retention targets within an existing government sector account portfolio.
Work closely with internal teams offering guidance and insight to establish the best solution for the customer that is online
Qualifications and experience;
Bachelor in Business, Sales, Marketing or any other related field.
3-5 years work experience in the telecommunications industry
Able to operate in a performance-driven organization
Competition with MS Office suite (Excel, word, powerpoint)
Excellent communication skills
Self motivated, enthusiastic, energetic.
